Our homes have a significant lifetime and during their occupation, each home will have an impact on the environment around it, hence we also have a responsibility to create homes that are efficient and enable our purchasers to minimise their social and environmental impacts.
The practical measures that can be taken include reusable energy systems, green roofs, water harvesting, ground source heat pumps, solar power, lighting control systems, heat insulation and sourcing as many materials locally as possible.
